Kate has been baking ever since she was a little girl, sitting on the counter and helping her mom. She's been a bird researcher, a high school science teacher, and most recently, a stay-at-home-mom to her daughter, nicknamed Chickadee!

When Kate started experimenting with decorated cookies in 2016, she quickly realized there were people who would love these pretty and delicious designs for their parties and get-togethers! She started Chickadee Bakery in Columbus, IN with the help of her partner and now-husband, Andy, and it slowly started to grow.

In 2020, Chickadee Bakery moved to Bloomington, Kate's hometown. Here we hope to continue to grow, and share delicious and beautiful cookies, cakes, and other goodies with Hoosiers everywhere!
